Bohai Drilling develops the first unconventional oil and gas integration platform in China

As of September 16th, the first domestic shale oil well field integrated operation logging platform independently developed by China Petroleum Bohai Drilling Second Logging Company has been put into use for 19 days on the Longdong Shale Oil Platform in Changqing Oilfield. All on-site operating parameters and instrument performance indicators have met the design standards, adding a major weapon to the efficient and large-scale development of new fields such as shale oil and gas, tight oil and gas, and deep coal and rock gas.

With the advancement of oil and gas exploration into deep and ultra deep fields, there are challenges in quickly discovering and accurately evaluating oil and gas layers on site, and predicting and warning construction risks in advance. Bohai Drilling technicians have successfully developed an integrated logging platform for shale oil well sites after one year of development. They have innovatively designed a retractable workspace and integrated geological, directional, comprehensive, interpretation and evaluation technologies and service applications in the same space. They have also integrated advanced automated evaluation equipment such as element analysis, rock cuttings imaging, and nuclear magnetic resonance, achieving a perfect combination of advanced technology and equipment.

The platform has achieved the transformation from qualitative evaluation of oil and gas to quantitative and accurate evaluation, and from support for later achievements to intelligent interpretation while drilling through the embedded application of self-developed software such as "interpretation and evaluation while drilling" and "pressure monitoring while drilling", further enhancing the integrated service guarantee capability of engineering geology. The integration of more than 20 independent patent achievements, such as 15 second rapid chromatography and AR remote collaboration system, greatly enriches the digital processing, intelligent analysis, information sharing and other functions of logging equipment. In on-site applications, it effectively reduces the workload of construction personnel, and improves the efficiency of sampling and laboratory analysis by more than 50%.
